Nowadays, almost any car has a car radio. With a car radio you can receive several radio stations and be informed and entertained everytime. In addition to the radio function itself it has often the possibility to play other media too. Older radios had the capability to play cassettes and in newer ones you find mostly CD, music-DVD or MP3 support.
In a newly purchased car a radio is usually integrated but of course they can also be bought in electronic stores. So if you bought a car without a radio or your built-in radio is no longer operational it is always possible to buy a new or better one in case you want a radio with extended features like an integrated navigation system or if the current one does not satisfy your special requirements.
However in most cases you don't need a credit for a new radio. A little bit saving helps too!
But for higher demands it's not always done with buying only the device. To get optimal sound quality you have to install additional speakers and subwoofers.
In particular younger car owners install additional loudspeakers that improve the sound and bass of their radio. But these additional speakers need a lot of space. Therefore you need to consider what is more important to you. Space in your car or sound quality.
Regardless of the fact that high quality loudspeakers can be a lot more expensive than the radio itself.
The car radio is mainly used for listening to music but it can also be used to hear to audio books or learning media like language courses. Thus, you can use your time more positive.
In general the effect of the radio are positive as it cheers up the driver's mood and prevents inattention due to the monotony of driving. This is especially important for people who drive alone and have no one to talk to.
Additionally, traffic information is transmitted over the radio that helps the driver by alerting him that there are possible dangers or traffic jams and so he has a chance to recalculate his route soon enough. But there are also risks.
The distraction of the device should not be so strong that the attention to the traffic obstructed.
With too loud music there is the risk that you overhear warning signals like the horn signals of other cars.
